Notes on ordering Docutech publications
Individuals are welcome to print copies of documents found at this location.
IFAS County Extension Offices, research centers, and departments can use the EDIS system to order publications. The publications will be printed through the Docutech in Gainesville, and distributed to the appropriate unit. You must be an authorized IFAS unit to order publications. Each unit has an assigned user name, password, and account. There should be a person in each unit authorized to order publications through the EDIS system. The cost of each order is charged to the unit's account. There is a minimum order of 20 copies per publication.

How do I Search the publications database?
To use the search feature, you will need to be able identify either the publication title, author names, IFAS publication number or department and then click the "Search" button.
A search can be completed on a publication title by using part of the title as long as the series of words is contained within the publication title. If the words do not appear within the publication title the database will not be able to match your search criteria.
Enter IFAS publication number without any spaces or dashes. For example: CIR0001.
For example, to Search for coconut, you would type the word "coconut" into the text box next to the field for publications title. (See illustration below)
This will produce a table of the results list that contains all of those words. (see Query results table below)

To order a publication after a search, select the "order publication" button on the left side of the table. This will bring up the required order form. To submit the order request one must provide the required data.
If you want to view the publication prior to ordering slect the "view publication" button on the right side of the table.
Submitting a Request
To submit a request, You must identify the following items;
- Publication ID: (this will be automatically filled in if you selected the document from a search of the database)
- Number of copies desired: (minimum order of 20 copies per publication)
- Priority of request: (normal, urgent)
- Username:
- Password:
After you have supplied the above information, select the submit request button to send the document to be printed. Your order will then be delivered electronically to a print queue at the IFAS print shop in Building 60. From there it will receive authorization and sent to you.
" Normal" priority for ordering will be no longer than 1 month.
Publication Order Confirmation
After you have ordered publication(s), your account will automatically be debited for the cost of the publication(s).
As part of the ordering process you will be able to determine the per cost copy of the publication you are ordering. Generally, one sided printing is 1.5 cents per page; two sided printing is 2.5 cents per sheet.
Supported Publications Not Yet in EDIS
One color publications (also known as black and white pubs) not presently in EDIS, but still supported by IFAS departments can also be ordered through the print-on-demand system. After you search the database, if you cannot locate the publication, send an email message to EDIS@ifas.ufl.edu. Enter the name of the publication you wish to order in the email message body and indicate the number of copies desired, the date needed, and the address for delivery of the publication(s).
Supported Multi-color Publications
